LE made good technical choices and doesn't ask for a huge symbolic fee that will make a single asshole a millionnaire
and don't get me started on startcom it was fucking awful, paid revocations on free certs and extremely bad practices on many occasions
asking for money to revoke a cert is one of the most dishonest thing a CA can do. that's a fee precisely designed to kick you while you're down
